If you want to get better at Starcraft 2, one of the very first things you should focus on is memorizing the stats of Starcraft 2 units for Terran, Zerg, and Protoss. If you don’t know what the different units in the game do, then it’s easy to lose just because you didn’t know that Zerg Banelings are a hard counter to Terran Marines.

In total, there’s 12-14 units in each race that you need to memorize. You need to know their unit type, cost, build time, life, armor, movement speed, sight range, attack range, attack speed, damage, damage vs (light, armored, massive, etc), how to produce them, and what tech is required. Not only that, but some Starcraft 2 units have 2 different attacks or other special abilities.

It’s a lot to learn isn’t it? Especially if you’re new to the game!

So now instead of seeing a unit you don’t recognize, then wondering how much damage it does and sweating over it the whole game, you can just glance at your new Starcraft 2 unit reference sheets and know immediately what unit type it is, how much damage it does, what it can target, etc. Just print them out and keep them on your gaming desk for best results. =)
